Who Can You Trust?

You can have a higher level of trust in a nursing home or assisted living facility that cooperates with The Citizens' Committee to Protect the Elderly.

Why?

Our experience is that:

  1. A nursing home or assisted living facility that welcomes Citizens' Committee volunteers is more likely to provide a higher standard of care for all residents in that facility.
  2. A nursing home or assisted living facility that cooperates with the Citizens' Committee is more likely to address the concerns of family members or guardians and resolve problems that may occur in the care of residents.
  3. A nursing home or assisted living facility that is responsive to Citizens'Committee volunteers is less fearful of having community interest in nursing home care. This openness usually translates into a higher standard of care than the care given in facilities that do not want the public to become aware of the conditions and level of care in their facilities.
We will be listing the nursing homes and assisted living facilities that are cooperating with the Citizens' Committee's programs.
